Now is not the time
Just for a drop in time in a glass of wine
No, now is not the time
It would be easy and the glass would seem full
But it will not hide my tears
Only the blood can shed every tear in time,
Only the blood let fears disappear in time
So the only way is to drink that cup
And wait until we empty it up
Every minute is like the drip of every drop
Like the ticking of a clock in my heart
And if I clock the beat of my heart then I know
That I can never run that fast
So when I look in time
I know that God will
Show us the hour of love’s covenant
And we’ll drink the glass of wine
But now is not the time
Now is not the time
We’ll just wait for that time

(Music and lyrics by Paul Cherryseed)
I'm moaning in the desert
Got nothing to do
And there's dirt on my shirt
No laundry machine no way to stay clean
No everyday job, no oases are seen
In this hour
I'm hungry for some water
Thirsty for some food
And my feet are confused
No road there to pick, and my telephone's sick
My bags are too full and my head feels like brick
In this place
CHORUS
I long for the man that mends
The Lord is like a tent
Why did I build on sand?
And the wind blows without a doubt...
I'm fasting in the desert
But nobody sees me
What do I care about prayer
My shoes are no more, and my face feels so sore
My telephone rusts, my bags are rags, I'm poor
In this life
CHORUS
I long for the man that mends
The Lord is like a tent
Why did I build on sand?
Then the wind blows without a doubt
No pockets full of pence
Just a bird on my hand
She's got nothing to spend
With hope she just flies about
Now it's an early morning
All has passed over
I sing on wings with a friend
The wormwood and gall will not conquer it all
The old life will fall and Jesus stands tall
And on this hill he says:
CHORUS
"I am the redeemer that mends
The Lord is like a tent
Why did you build on sand?
Now the wind blows without a doubt
No pockets full of pence
Just a bird on my hand
She's got nothing to spend
With hope she will fly about!"

What a misery in Missouri
Wounded people, open scars that bleed
It's a misery in Missouri
The righteous one has come to set you free
And I really would be open to meet you
Without you having things on your mind
But until then I will just love you
And leave all things behind
It's a mystery in Missouri
Never saw the hills or history
It's a mystery in Missouri
The Ragtime Blues is catching up with me
And I really would be open to meet you
Without you having things on your mind
But until then I will love you
And leave all things behind
I miss you in Missouri
I realize your wounds are very deep
I miss you in Missouri
No, I'm not sour, just tryin' to get some sleep
And I’d like the peace of mind to say ‘God be with you’
Without me having things on my mind
And from then on I will love you for real
And leave all things behind
We’ll leave things behind
We’ll leave things behind
We will be fine

Silent Eyes
Watching Jerusalem
Make her bed of stones
Silent Eyes
No One will comfort her;
Jerusalem
Weeps alone
She is sorrow, sorrow
She burns like a flame
And she calls my name
Silent Eyes
Burning in the desert sun
Halfway to Jerusalem
And we shall all be called as witnesses
Each and ev'ryone
To stand before the eyes of God
And speak what was done

As the dew begins to turn
Into showers upon the grass
What is left of me will learn
That the weeping soon will pass
‘cause in this field I found a room
The roof is leaking, it’s a dusty shed
The door is busted, can’t find no broom
With rocks and leaves I build my bed
CHORUS
In these hardened times I know
Every stone will be used soon
But as long as people throw
Our houses will become a ruin
Like the rambler climbing through my broken window
Really shows God’s beauty
So’s the child of the heart
That finds the Father miraculously
On every corner there’s a home to choose
For every person there’s a resting place
If you carefully watch sky news
You’ll see the morning drops down grace
CHORUS
In these hardened times I know
That some hearts will burn with fire
With loving dew the Father shows
He wants to dwell in our desire
Come enjoy this stay
Let’s sit on the roof
For the rest of the day
Come enjoy this stay
Let’s sit on the roof
For the rest of the day

Why do you softly breathe
Not like tornados break
Bur not as common as the winds before
You shake the ground beneath my feet
Not like an earthquake
But you make me forget I’m standing on the floor
CHORUS
“Blood:water mission"
Progression, transmission
Helps against depression and aggression
A flood-border vision
Yields water’s submission
Let the eastern wind blow through me
Why do you gently burn?
Not like a forest fire
But not as quiet as a kindled flame
The wind blows us out of our boxes
With the gentle fire it rocks us
Why don’t we just get out
CHORUS
Let the eastern wind live it out
Live it out
Before the flood comes
Before the fire storms
Open my heart and my eyes
And I will sea/see
The love eventually
Like a captain going a hundred knots
New fish to catch at every wave
Why do you softly breathe?
Not like tornados break
But not as common as the winds before

He’s calling
He’s crawling
He’s falling
‘cause he thinks he’ll never make it to the other side
He’s aching
He’s breaking
he’s shaking
‘cause he thinks the river’s just a little bit too wide
CHORUS
And wherever there is an ocean to swim, I’m afraid all light will dim, and I cry
And wherever there is a step to take, I know he’ll never make it
‘til the last ghost said goodbye
He’s glaring
he’s staring
he’s swearing,
He’s blind, his words are dark, he cannot grasp the light
He’s wailing
He’s ailing
He’s failing
I hope the Word will reach him soon before the evening tide
CHORUS
Oh Lord, I’m just saying, I don’t want to break
Oh Lord, I think I’m staying awake
Oh Lord I am praying: please be his escape
Oh Lord I think the devil’s fading, from this day the boy is free
BRIDGE
It was the look in his eyes that suddenly became a smile
The joy in the boy complete, the light of love for all to see
It was the Book of surprise, the imprint made his heart shine for miles
The joy in the boy complete, the Word of Life a way to breathe
And now he’s climbing, he’s rhyming while his heart sings,
I’m so glad he finally made it to the other side
He’s smiling and he’s rising on these grace wings
The road was narrow but the way is much more deep and wide
He’s flying, he’s flying

(Music and lyrics by Paul Cherryseed)
There once was a girl with coloured pencils in her hair
She drew her life in pictures without despair
'cause she knew that someone would surely care
About her work
Her life was red and pink and gold and kelly green
And she coloured pretty mirrors in the world unseen
‘cause the cold and wicked streets, they were dark and mean
About her dream
CHORUS
Oh, no fairytale
With angel faces
White and pale
O, there's no excuse
For this girl's blue blues
I once knew a girl with pencils in her hand
She showed them to the people, hoped they’d understand
But no one on the sidewalk there would spent a cent
For a change
Her life was dark blue, brown, black and shades of grey
But then a friendly couple showed her a new way
The cold seemed gone, the winter hymnals warmed the day
Was this her dream?
CHORUS
O, a fairytale?
With angel faces
White or pale
O, there was no excuse
For this girl's blue blues
There once was a girl with coloured pencils in her hair
She ate her food and drank her milk without despair
'cause someone out there in the world did surely care
about her life
BRIDGE
Oh, and she only wanted white bread
All the colours finally matched
As the pure light chased the cold black dread
And the cherry jam tasted juicy red
She draws a line of hope instead
CHORUS
O, a fairytale
With angel smiles
White, unveiled
Now there are rainbow hues
For this girl's blue blues

(Music and lyrics by Paul Cherryseed)
This morning I opened my dark green shutters
And what I saw was such a surprise
I was so used to the gnashing of darkness
The garden was a light paradise
Now I see tomorrow in today
But if I forget the smiles I’ve met
I just go uphill and that’s my way
To let His wind shine face to face
CHORUS
I see Caspar in the window
He’s sketching a picture
The setting sun that never goes
I see Caspar in the window
He’s painting a picture
Of the view on the world that is
And is to come
BRIDGE
No need for clouds
‘Cause my heart is hanging in the sky
At twenty-seven million feet, is it impossible?
I wonder now
When I’m standing on a rocky mountain
I see a wall of fog unfold
Still around me there’s something soothing
A rainbow rich without all the gold
I feel comfortable, when I’m not nervous
About the things that are gonna come
When I’m staring in the black abyss
I know that He will still lead me on
CHORUS
I see Caspar in the window
He’s sketching a picture
A graveyard with a golden glow
I see Caspar in the window
He’s painting a picture
Of the view on the world that is
And is to come
BRIDGE
No need for planes
‘cause my soul flies to every side
A burning flame for peace
Is it impossible
Or is the future bright?
How did the world begin*?
Chicken or egg? A chicken because
Otherwise who would take
Care of the poor little ones
CHORUS
I see Caspar in the window
He’s sketching a picture
A crucified landscape growns
I see Caspar in the window
He’s painting a picture
Of the view on the King that is
And is to come

CHORUS
You shall no more be called forsaken
Your land shall no more be called desolate
But you be My delight of Eden
And the land the married Beulah
So shall the Lord rejoice over Judah & the wedding guests
O, and as the young man marries a virgin
So shall your sons marry your light
And as the bridegroom finds peace in the bride
So will God be glad ‘bout all that enter in
CHORUS
O, and as the watchmen keep sound on the walls
So shall you breathe your uplifting Word
And so the watchmen will sing what they heard
O God, we’ll unite for barriers to fall

In the music house
The broken strings of our lives
Are repaired by the One who plays the flute
CHORUS
And the chords of my guitar
Ukelele from afar
I was lost but made it home at last to the music house
When my guitar sings
And my voice is blending in
We’ll walk the lonely bassline
With an upright major swing
CHORUS
In the music house
The broken strings of our lives
Are repaired by the One who plays the flute
(CHORUS)
Tutututututututu, the chords of my guitar
Tututututututu, ukelele from afar
Tututututututu, the chords of my guitar
I was lost, but now I’m home at last in the music house.

Once upon a time - in 2012 - there was a dream. A dream about a girl about a girl that was wandering and wondering through the streets, a girl with coloured pencils in her hair. The dream became a song, and tells a fruitful story of grace and hope, like it is seen in drops of dew. Dew can be refreshing, especially after difficult dry desert times where your shoes are no more. And the lonely desert time gives the feast of redemption for the guests - including you? - on the new dawn even more colour. So thank God for dawn, dew and desert songs.
